Copeland Cares About Our Community

Why is it so important for Copeland Chevrolet to give back to our community? Because Brockton is our home, not just where we conduct business.
All the business decisions we make at Copeland Chevrolet-from the folks we hire to our pricing structure-are made with the people of Brockton in mind and a desire to give back to the community that is so much a part of who we are. At Copeland, we want to make Brockton a better place to live, work and play. We strive to be a great community partner. We hope when you decide to buy your next vehicle or service your current vehicle, you'll decide to shop local at Copeland Chevrolet. In return, we promise to provide you the ultimate customer experience.

Our Community Comes First

COPELAND CHEVY YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAM

Copeland Chevrolet couldn't be more excited to partner with our friends at Brockton Junior Boxers Pop Warner Football and Cheer to launch the new Copeland Chevrolet Youth Sports Program. In September, we kicked off our partnership with a donation of $1,000, which will go toward registration fees, team equipment, maintenance, and other administrative costs. We know how integral sports can be to helping young children develop into strong adults, and our hope is that this contribution will help empower more kids to learn, grow, and achieve.

Jason Pappas, our executive manager at Copeland Chevrolet, said it well upon presenting the check to representatives of Brockton Junior Boxers Pop Warner Football and Cheer: "Chevy believes in the power of play as a way for young people to build the skills needed to be successful in the future."

Brockton Junior Boxers Pop Warner is a leading local sports organization for boys and girls between the ages of 5-14. Each year, hundreds of local kids participate in the program, whether they're hitting the gridiron or cheering from the sidelines. And it's quite a successful program, too: In 2019, the Junior Boxers won three Hockomock Championships for football as well as cheerleading championships.

Copeland Chevrolet Partnering with Easton Youth Baseball

Copeland Chevrolet is partnering with Easton Youth Baseball in Brockton. Copeland Chevrolet has joined forces with the national Chevrolet Youth Baseball & Softball program to provide new equipment and invitations to free instructional clinics.

"Playing baseball and softball helps kids develop skills like leadership, cooperation, and sportsmanship while bringing families and communities together to show their support. Copeland Chevrolet and Chevrolet Youth Baseball & Softball are proud to participate in a sport that brings so many smiles to kids and families in Brockton," said Jason Pappas, Executive Manager for Copeland Chevrolet. "Chevrolet believes in the power of play as a way for young people to build the skills needed to be successful in the future and supports the spirit of teamwork that baseball and softball instills in its players."

This is the eighteenth year of Chevrolet's Youth Baseball & Softball program and has benefited over 9 million players since it launched in 2006. Last year, more than 1,200 Chevrolet dealers participated across the country.

Copeland Chevrolet will present Easton Youth Baseball an equipment kit that includes useful items such as equipment bags, first aid kits, batting tees, and ball buckets. The sponsorship also includes youth clinics featuring current and former MLB/MiLB players and coaches, or instruction from Ripken Baseball.

In addition, Copeland Chevrolet will present a check representing a one-time donation to Easton Youth Baseball.

"Chevrolet designs and builds its vehicles with busy families in mind, featuring a comprehensive suite of available safety features; technologies that make the journey more comfortable and engaging for the entire family; and the space and flexibility needed to haul people and cargo. We encourage everyone to take a look at what Chevrolet has to offer," said Pappas.

Paws in the Park

Copeland Chevrolet is a proud sponsor of the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts' (APCSM) "Paws in the Park" celebration. The most recent event featured a long list of local vendors, nonprofits, delicious food, raffles, and more! Of course, the activities were both family- and dog-friendly, making for a wonderful time to celebrate the many years that the organization has assisted animals in our area.
The APCSM mission is "to operate a managed admission animal care and adoption facility, with focus on prevention of cruelty to animals, education and outreach." They offer a handful of events and programs throughout each year, such as Dogtoberfest, allowing animal lovers of all ages to participate and give back.

Breast Cancer Awareness

As a Chevy dealership, we have participated in the "Chevy Cares - We Drive For" campaign to help raise money for those suffering from breast cancer and their families. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and every vehicle sold during that time had a portion donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, which assists with patient navigation in the medical world during this tumultuous time.
In addition to that, we even had a specially wrapped Chevy Cares Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Camaro at our dealership that guests could take a photo with. For every photo taken with the vehicle featuring the "I Drive For" hashtag, Chevy donated $5 to the American Cancer Society.

Operation Homefront

We have also proudly partnered with Operation Homefront to support active-duty military members, veterans, and their families. This organization is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides critical financial assistance, offers transitional housing, and many other recurring family support programs. Whether it's a holiday toy drive, creating meals for the military, or helping kids get ready for school, Copeland Cares deeply about our military members and their families.
